A friend asked me if she had to wait a period of time before applying heat on her freshly relaxed hair. She just got it done yesterday.

For some reason, I always thought I had to wait 10 days or 7 days at least before applying heat on my freshly touched/or fully relaxed hair. She looked at me like :ohwell:

I've always waited mininum 1 week. I could have sweared that I saw that on the relaxer boxes/intruction I used back in the 90s and early 00s. I have a gut feeling that phytospecific II relaxer instruction says to wait a period of time before applying heat and blow drying with cool air....the same with dakr & lovely( back in the 90s...im pretty sure i read that on there too)

Isn't it the same with mizani????

I've had my hair flat ironed the day of my touch up with no issues.

When I relaxed I was told not to wash for 7-10 days but my hair was straightened at the time of the relaxer.
