Hey everyone.

I was just wondering what if anything you are trying to overcome right now that relates to hair in any way. And what you are doing about it.

It's hard to choose just one obstacle

but right now I am trying to determine how much protein vs. moisture my hair needs. To overcome it I'm experimenting with different conditioners.

Oh, and another one I have is trying to have healthy hair on a budget. Reading all these raves about certain expensive products makes me wanna go out and buy each one, but I have to be realistic

My biggest obstacle is these tiny knots I keep discovering at the end of random strands. I try so hard to keep my ends neat, and detangle carefully, and I still see them. I don't know how they form, so my only solution is to cut them off

My biggest obstacle is breakage and dryness. What I am doing to combat this is wearing protective styles (I joined the Bun for a year challenge) and reducing (working towards eliminating) the use of heat.

I have several obstacles:

1. Trying to eliminate breakage at any and all costs.
2. Finding the products that work best in my hair - though in a way, I enjoy this part!
3. Keeping my hands out of my hair!!!

I'm trying to find the right products to keep my new growth moisterized so I can extend my relaxers.

Also gotta get the hang of scalp massage.

My biggest obstacle (not a problem yet) is keeping shedding at a minimum. Very little manipulation is the key for me.

my obstacle right now is to maintain the strength and elasticity of my hair and avoid any breakage from heat styling. So far so good.

1. Trying to find a way to style my hair without the use of heat. (I am at a loss about figuring out this one.)
2. Waiting for the hair around my ears to grow out. It's about 3 inches shorter than the rest of my hair, due to breakage. (I guess avoiding scissors is the only thing to overcome that.)
3. Extending my touchup beyond 6 weeks without crazy shedding occurring. (With every other touch up, I'ma try extending it by 5-7 days until I reach my goal of touching up every 9 weeks or so.)

perfect peace

Right now my biggest, and most persistant hair obstacle is trying to find the RIGHT protective style, and then being able to stick with it.

I am currently trying the baggie method, but I'm not sure if that's going to work out in the long run for a lot of reasons. It's only been a week though so we'll see.

The first issue is my hair is not all the same length, so not all of my ends are inside the baggie, depending on where the "bun" is on my head, so I'm not sure how this will work for the parts that are left out.

I'm almost tempted to do TWO baggies just to make sure I can get all my ends to be protected until all the parts are long enough to get into one bun.

I was all excited about being in braids again, but the last time I went the stylist commented on how much my hair had grown, and then proceeded to braid my hair a little to tight, and made the braids just a little to small. I'm too paranoid to go back so.....

I think once I find the protective style that works for me I will be off and running.

Darn those tiny knots!

I hate it when they are higher up on the strand so then you're losing length.
