hair nearly ruined my graduation

sooo i wasnt all that excited about graduating because i knew i would have to flat iron my hair to get my cap on. iv done this before but have never felt anything bad towards my hair when straight but lately iv been thinking and i dont like the idea of me wearing straight hair for special events. (nothing against relaxed heads- a slick freash perm always smacks it )
however i feel like some times its as if my natural hair is not accepted as a special hair style- like me flat ironing it is the best of me - which is not true!
i spoke to my mom about this too. my graduation day was such a rush -mainly because it was sooo hot and the motorway was total grid lock. i just didnt feel myself and my hair was all sweated out.

anyway less of the down side but heres a picture of my boring hair style. thinking back i woulda had a cainrowed style but ohh well.

You didn't have to flat iron or straighten your hair for graduation... I wore two strand twists under my graduation cap... No worries, no problems. (I go to a college where 2-5% of the students are black). You don't have to have straighten hair for special occasions. There are several natural styles that you could have worn that could fit under that cap. Don't feel like natural styles are unacceptable because they are acceptable. Take care!

Congrats on graduating and don't feel bad! You looked nice IMO! It gets frustrating some times. But you gotta play around with styling and eventually you'll find one that works for you!

yep iv learnt a lesson and im ganna start playing around to see what new style i can do. yesturday i washed out my flat ironed hair (i only kepted it for one day lol) and i realised my hair can fit into a low puff instead of my normal braid out puff. this has make me wanna try out new stuff. so this morning i co washed a have a big combed out ''fro which is still nice and soft! i think i may try a twisted head tomorrow because iv only done that once and they were big twists.

i think beacause i could never handle my wet hair so well unbraided i alway Alway wear washed briadouts- they have worked so well for growth i think beacuse i havent had any breakage bout now its time to mix it up!
