Ok. So I had braids in my hair hoping to help out my transition period. Around day 6 or 7 of having them in my hair, I got the itch. ( you know, the itch to get them OUT of my head) But I figured, "No no, I paid good money for these things, I'm going to get my moneys worth." and left them in. I bought some products to help soothe the scalp itch and went on about my business.

Fast forward to week 2 (yesterday) I got so sick of them, I decided I was going to take them out.

Well before I took the braids out I figured I had better go and get something to moisturize and strengthen my hair

So I mixed up this concoction:

About half a jar of Queen Helene Cholesterol with ginseng conditioner
3 spoonfuls of Organics Hair mayonnaise
2 cap fulls of olive oil
1/4 cup of warm honey

Mix it all up and put it on the sections of hair as soon as I upbraided them.

Then I shampooed it and conditioned it with more hair mayonnaise. And then I used a little anti-frizz serum and wrapped it around my head.

OMG!!!! My hair is soft and shiny and healthy! And I had almost NO breakage. (I mean I did have some... but very very little)

I'm hooked now!

What have been everyone elses experiences with Hair Mayo?

Hmm, I might add more olive oil and honey to my ORS Mayo. I don't like the smell of the mayo that much, but it's good for my hair.

I tried adding the egg like they suggested, but the whites stuck to my hair even though I didn't use heat or hot water. I covered my hair on a hot day, and that's probably how it got cooked.

Yeah yuk, I HATE egg in my hair.

And the hair Mayo does smell bad, but I really like how it made my hair feel.
