Hair loves products

How do you know when your hair likes a product? Does it feel or looks certain way? How do you know when your hair doesn't like something your doing?

Like : my hair has bling, it feels soft and/or balanced, it's hydrated and there is limited breakage

Doesn't like : my hair is dry, brittle and there's always an increase in breakage

Like:
soft and light with no product residue at all
noticeably stronger or thicker
nourished. this one is more difficult to identify. i am using a conditioner that has no slip at all but i can tell my hair is really benefiting from it.

Dislikes:
hard, dry
lots of build up or greasiness. makes me want to wash my hair even if i just washed it yesterday

retains moisture longer
