Hair is HALF relaxed! What should I do?

I relocated NC, so I had to try a new salon. :perplexed

Anyways, I got a touch-up on my Affirm relaxer but when I got home 2/3rds of my hair was relaxed and 1/3 was wasn't. In other words, she either didn't rub it in or it didn't stay on long enough. In the 20 years I have been getting relaxers I have never had anyone do such a horrible job!

I'm looking for another place to try (as it will be time for a relaxer in a couple of weeks...but what do I when I find someone?

Do I have them go over the part that really didn't take?

I'm so upset. I grew my hair almost past my shoulder - post chemo and the thought of losing it again has me almost in tears.

Oh girl! I sympathize with you on the chemo tip. You could do a rescue touch up where you grease/vaseline the relaxed hair (so that it won't get over-processed) and just relax what didn't take. BUT I would advise just babying that un-relaxed hair until you get another touch up. How many weeks until another touch up for you? I hope no less then 8 or 10 weeks.

This happened to me and I wanted to re-do the touch up but I just waited it out until the next one and all was fine. Low manipulation (little styling and only combed on washed days) and it was all good.

Be Blessed!

I have about two-three more weeks to go. I haven't found someone else to try yet,but when I do, do I have them go over the part she missed? It is relaxed a little...VERY little.

You should go back and let the hairdresser see what she say's
(if it sounds proffesional) and what she is going to do to currect the hair.
