Hair Growth "time of the month"

Maybe it's this install but I just realized a pattern with my hair and I've searched online and can't find anyone else mentioning something similar so I'm wondering if it's my imagination or legit.

This past week I realized that my scalp has been itching like mad. I'm oiling it so it's not dry but I'm glued to my half rat tail comb (I broke it so it's just the tail and a small black chunk which is handier to hold).

When I think back my hair tends to get the extreme itches between the teen dates of the month. 11-19.

I don't get the growth phase technical stuff so I don't read much about it. In layman terms does hair have a set 2 weeks of the month or whatever where the max amount of growth happens?

As it is now I can lift my braids a good inch under my sew in and that's never happened before :look: ever. I think I'm the 1/4 grower.

It doesn't correlate with the other time of the month so I know it's not extra hormones jump starting it.

Am I the only one noticing a certain time of the month where the itch happens?

I notice this with my own hair as well. It only seems to actively grow towards the end of the month. I know people say that hair grows a certain amount per day but most of my hair doesn't. My scalp will have that tender feeling (which for me indicates growth) at the end of the month and then a few days later, I'll see a good half an inch lol.

Thank you! I was wondering if I'm crazy over her.

I don't have the tender headed feeling until I'm doing the dog like scratch with the rattail comb and panting.

No matter what I do the itch doesn't really stop so I know it's not a dry itch that needs soothing.

Shoot I'm typing one handed and pecking at this very moment with my left hand and the rattail going to town on the same area right at the dead top of my head :lachen:

I noticed it a few years back. The last couple of weeks every month I do have a terrible case of the itching.

Okay I know this is a late addition, but I thought i was going crazy, so i had to go look it up on LHCF lol
I totally go through this! I thought my hair hadn't been properly washed at first, so i literally went and shampooed, rinsed under cold water for 10 minutes straight, and then came back, dried my hair, and doused it in moisturizing spray and a bit of unyevu butter, thinking I was covering all my bases. But it still itchesssss (and i don't have chronic/recurring dandruff or dry scalp). So i think this is what's going on, cuz i notice this most months, and then it's not noticeable during others. i think that's got to be it.

Yes I've noticed this as well during "TOM". I've also noticed that my hair feels super coarse/dry/brittle for a few days during "TOM" so I just do extra moisturizing sessions.
