I think so.

It think its damaging, but I don't have any experience with it. It just looks like it would be damaging. You basically glue the strands of hair to your hair strands using some sort of heated tool. I think this is the same thing as fusion.

Maybe it isn't damaging and someone else with experience will chime in. But from the outside looking in...it looks damaging.

I've had the infusion/strand by strand done. In fact I wore my hair extended that way for 2-3 years.

The good: my hair looked fantastic. The extension hung from my head like hair growing from my head and the extensions were nearly undetectable. It was hard to see and feel the extensions. You could only feel it if you ran your fingers through the hair near the scalp. The hair could be washed and styled in nearly any way I wanted it. Also it lasted 4-5 months at a time.

The bad: It is very expensive. You have to find a stylist with a lot of experience or your hair can be seriously damaged. I ventured from the original stylist I used to a less expensive shop that used the pre-glued strands. My hair snapped off at the root from the weight of the pre-glued ones. You can't use oil at all or use extreme heat near the bonds or they will melt.

Very bad: My hair grew longer while I had the extensions in, but it also thinned out some. The process of removing the bonds is a harsh one -- a solvent has to be applied, then the bond crumbles and whatever is left behind is combed out with a fine tooth comb.

Also, you have to be sure to find the right hair and the hair has to have the cuticle intact. This is hair you'll have on your head for months. So it can't be tangly or rough and should be the highest quality possible.

I'm not sure if that was the information you needed, but I hope that helps.
