Hair for weaving

For those who have had success with weaves, what kind (brand and stlye) of hair worked best for you?

I've had Beverly Johnson's synthetic tight jerry. That did okay, it kinks up if you keep messing with it, but with those types of curls, the kink looks good. I also have some Sensationnel HH Deep Wave hair that I have yet to use, but it feels really good (and no, it is not dog hair, in case you saw that thread).

Thanks Karonica. It was the dog hair thread that got me wondering. I just got mine redone with the Outre deep wave after the first wash, it just doesn't seem "right" anymore.

I think almost all weaves aren't right after the first wash.

I can't wait to be proven wrong though. I'll see once I use the Sensationnel.

I've had the same experience after washing my weave. I just got my first one 12/23 and washed it last night...now it's all extra shiny. It looks a mess.

It's Zury yaki perm. That's what my hairdresser told me to get. It was great at first...

I have a full sewn in weave (almost a month now) of Outre' Big Spiral 14 inch. I love this hair. I brush it out a lot to turn it into a body wave with more oomph though. To wash it...I take a washcloth, soak it in baby shampoo and hot water then I blot each track down really good. Then I take about half an hour with a washcloth with only hot water and press along each track really well.

It takes an hour or so all together, and I sugest sitting in the tub or over a towel when you do it. But it keeps your hair looking nice and your scalp smelling clean.
