hair dye question

I plan to do a home dye in jet black(permanent), what's the best brand to use? Is it ok for me to use emergencee or kerphix right after? do I use a neutralizing shampoo?

I really like Garnier Nutrisse. I usually follow with what the box says. A little bit of conditioner comes in the box but it's never enough for me. I like to saturate my hair with conditioner and always use a LOT. So I just add some of my St. Ives Fortifying Reconstructor and some oil (olive or monoi) and then I do a deep treatment (no heat). I've always had good results like that.
