Hair Coloring

Hey everyone!!! Over the summer, I decided to start using henna to color my hair. I enjoyed the color, but I am looking for something a little richer. I want to go get my hair professionally colored... but am not sure if I can. Can I color after henna? My last treatment was in June/July.

Also, can I color and touch up at the same time? I look forward to hearing from you ladies... thanks!

Be advised that using color after henna can be risky. A strand test should be done first to ensure no ill effects.

The only color that is safe to use same day as relaxer is that which does not require a catalyst, such as peroxide. Semi-permanent colors and rinses are okay to use right after a relaxer.

If you used body art quality (BAQ) henna and its been more than a couple of weeks, I think you'll be fine. A harvest/strand test a good idea.
