Lately, I've been stressing over my frizzy ends. I don't exactly wanna get a trim because I know you can grow hair without it and instead I wanna baby my hair back to shape (besides, I'm in Bootcamp). So anyway, I heard from Traycee that lighter hair colors tend to have more probs, so I'm wondering if I should go ahead and do a semi-perm dark brown or something to cover my light brown hair. Do you think that my might help my frizzy ends situation (cuz their not split) or should I be doing something else?

Going darker over previously lighten hair helped me out....in addition I found using Mizani H20 intensive night creme on my ends every night for two weeks definitely kept the hair moist.--Countering the effects of the RINSE. My hairdresser didn't recommend permanent.

any lighter colors require a bleach to go into your strand to remove the natural dark color in order for the lighter color to be applied... <---this already contributes to damage...

I will always go darker now that I know better:yep:

Just keep deep conditioning your hair and hopefully this will help your ends and also keep it moisturized. HTH!!

I've hi-lighted my hair about 3 years ago, and the hi-lighted areas did some damage to my hair, and those areas of my hair looked like straw. A few months after I colored with a darker color and the color made it appear healthier.

I don't know about dark perm. colors, but I know the lighter you are making your hair the more damage it takes on, but I would think the darker you make it cause damage as well. To me a rinse is the best situation, and if you have a relaxer double processing is the worst thing to do to your hair.

thanks ladies, I'm gonna go ahead and follow thru with a chocolate rinse mixed with some spiced cognac to give it a nice red hint.
