I've always loved these for keeping my ends off of my neck and shoulders during the warmer months, while having a cuter style.

They don't pull my hair out, and I try to buy the smooth plastic ones, but like plastic combs, I wonder if they still manage to damage the hair more than I'm seeing... does anyone know if bone hair claws exist? If so, where?

i like the big ones for thick hair...i havent noticed any damage...i dont need to have them in tight to get it hold all the hair in

I'd say yay. I have a large one that I use from time to time and I have never had any problems with it. In fact, I think I'll wear that tomorrow...

I recently broke both of mine. My hair is becoming too thick, I guess I need to buy bigger next time. I too wonder if they make any from the 'bone' material.

I wear them often. A little to often but it is better then the way I was using a scunggy which was destroying my ends.

I say yay - they're easy and stylish. I inspect them carefully before I buy and use a metal nail to smooth the *teeth* out on a couple cheaper onces that had ridges but were too cute to pass up. I don't know about bone claws, but I have a few high quality ones that I've ordered from www.hairboutique.com made by france luxe and karina - super smooth seamless for a few bucks more . . .

I like hair claws. You just have to be careful when taking them out so they don't catch on your hair. I use these mainly in the shower to keep both sections seperate.

I like them occasionally----but they sometimes give me a headache. I prefer the long kind that kinda look like a cursive "i".
