I have a question regarding the daily maintenance that everyone does to grow their hair. When you use these products are you parting your hair and putting them on the hair and/or scalp or are you putting some in your hand and running your handS through your hair as most of the instructions say to do?

I think it depends on what the product is and its purpose...are you asking about product in particular?

The only thing I use daily is a leave-in and water, and I use them at night before bed. If I'm rebraiding my hair to refresh a braidout, I apply these in sections. Otherwise I tend to put a lot of the leave-in on my hands and first rub it over the outside/top of my hair. Then I do it a few more times and run my fingers through my hair, and finally I concentrate on the ends.

this is a good question! I usually run it through my hair after putting it in my hands.

what types of products require u to section your hair off? I have lots of new growth so I try not to part or manipulate my hair too much so this is the easiest way!

sometimes I might do it on each side of my head.

Actually, come to think of it, with cream moisturizers I do both depending on what I feel I need. If my scalp feels dry and after washes, I'll add something onto my scalp. If I'm just doing a daily run-through I'll add a spray or cream to my hair. I make sure I get the INSIDE and outside of my hair by going over the top then backwards from my nape and then spread my hair open to get to the middle.
