I want to make my own hair butter. How do you do this? I wanna just stir olive oil until it gets creamy:perplexed but something tells me that is not how it is done.:lachen:

From the Lotioncrafter's website...

LipidThix
LipidThix™ is simply vegetable oil that has been hydrogenated to a powdered form. Soluble in oils, it is ideal for thickening oil soluble products and can be used in balms, butters, salves and scrubs. Creation of a butter such as avocado butter is as simple as melting 20% LipidThix with 80% avocado oil, mixing well and allowing it to cool. Firmness can be adjusted by varying the percentage of LipidThix added to the oil.

I use vege thix same as the other suggestion, to make avocado butter, jojoba butter and one I like to call Hair Trio butter. I make an oil infusement of horsetail, coltsfoot and nettles. Then after they are infused I mix them with the vege thix and have a great moisturizing hair butter.

You can get vege thix from here

There are a lot of videos on Youtube. If you mix the olive oil with shea butter and whip it up i think it will get creamy.

Thank you guys cause I was about to make a mess. I have never used Shea butter before. Off to the market !!

Blessings~
