Sorry for two separate posts ladies. I was in panic mode. If I had waited until I had gotten myself together my thoughts would have been more cohesive. Anyway.....look what I did.....:nono:

Wow....this actually looks like more than six inches. It doesn't look like a whole lot here because it's sopping wet fine hair, but trust me....I cut off a pretty nice chunk.:cry3:

It's a small section, and I know you'll be able to easily conceal it in all of that pretty hair of yours. I'm sorry it happened though.

I'm so sorry this happend to you :bighug:

just be happy that its not your hold head, at least you can kinda hide that chunk til it grows out

Oohweee!! I'm so glad it wasn't a bigger chunk than that - it'll blend in really nicely with the rest of your hair! :bighug:

I'm relieved that it's not worse, Lavendar. Blend it in with the rest, forget about it, and by the end of the year it will be a funny family memory.

I would just hide it for now I think you can do that and your hair is still beautiful. I guess just keep with buns and ponytails for a while.

(((hugs)))

I read the other thread and was horrified, but when I saw the picture, I was relieved lol. It's not even a "chunk" girl, you'll be alright. If you cut layers in your hair, you won't even notice. Shoot you won't even see it with the rest of your hair being the longer lenght.

I know we can't see it in person, but it looks good now also. I am pretty sure you were in panics mode, but you and your pretty hair will do fine!:yep:

I'm so sorry. I know you are upset; however, you can hide that section and not have to cut your hair even. I personally would not cut off 6 inches to have that section match. In fact, I would not cut layers either. If you wear you hair curly (roller set) it's easy to hide. It would only be truly noticed with a sleek, straight style and even then you can pull that piece behind your ear.

Thanks so much ladies....and special thanks to Allandra!!! You all are definitely right and I feel silly for overracting.:spinning: But at the time...I admit it...I was horrified. Now that I've taken down my rollers...you are right...it blends in. I'll just have to deal with it when it's air dried. Plus my hair is now almost to MBL and I'm thankful. I am ashamed...my sister lost all her hair to breast cancer and chemo. That should have been my first thought. I should call her and tell her what I did and how I acted so she can smack me upside my head. This a good lesson in perspective......:yep:

I have to go read the other thread; your hair is still as gorgeous as ever, and like everyone already said, it'll be easily concealed.:yep:

It does look like a lot but you can blend it. Are you crying in the pic? Looks like you are but it will be ok. Think of it like this: Your hair is beautiful and you still have more that me!!!

(((hugs))) At least this section can blend in with the rest. That section will grow back in no time! :)

Lavendar your hair still looks lovely. Don't worry you'll be able to blend it. Just baby it and massage the area with your favorite oils and you'll see it will grow back. :hug3:

I completely understand your panic, but you can definitely camouflage it with all that beautiful hair you have.

Don't be embarrassed, it's ok. You put a lot of effort into growing your hair so it's fine to be upset for the moment. Your hair is still beautiful and you will move on from this.

:bighug:

Girl, not taking away from your panic at all. I was so worried when I came in here. I didn't want to scroll down for fear I saw a major setback. I am glad this is not as bad as I was afraid of.

Your hair is STILL absolutely GORGEOUS!! You can hide the cut part with the rest of your hair. It does so well that it'll grow back in no time flat!! :bighug::grouphug:

Honestly, it still looks really long to me. For someone who aspires to your length, I'm like...what's the problem.

Lavendar, your hair rocks.

I agree with all the other ladies, it should be easy to blend in with the rest of the hair. I know you'll continue to take care of it and it'll sprout back in no time. Your hair is still the HAWTNESS! Hugs to you girlie! Don't stress!

Hey sweetie,
:bighug:

I agree, it will blend in nicely!! Most of us have shorter areas that are larger than what you have and can be barely noticeable when we wear our hair down- trust me- I'm a fotki stalker :yep:!!
I know that you will continue to inspire use when you take a comparison pic to show us how that area has grown so well!!!!
