Does it ever seem like guys hair grows faster than girls?

I mean look at lloyd and omarion and others...ladies what do you think:confused:

low manipulation - no perms, no flat irons, no curling irons,.....

As far as i can see there hair doesn't grow any faster, they just leave it alone...wash condition (maybe) and braid it up, low maintenance/manipulation.. no drain cleaner and not that much heat. My male friends that have hair just washed oil/moisturized and left it alone in braids for aslong as they could possibly go, and if they were a mess they would rock a durag, and they both seemed to get 5-7 inches a year (and they started with the fades).

I agree with what the other ladies have said. That and I believe it has to do with men's testosterone (sp?). My brother's hair grew like a weed while mines barely made progress. He would go to the salon and get it cornrowed maybe once every 2-3 weeks. Leave it in until he went back. The stylist washed it and rebraided it for him. So maybe Omarion and LLoyd have a good stylist taking care of their hair which is making it grow so fast. Lloyd and Omarion look to have type 3 hair. Lloyd might even be a 2. Which seems to grow quicker/longer. We've all heard those myths. Type 4's seem to have to do more work to their hair to retain length. However, I do know other men who have problems getting their hair to grow out.

Retention is key...they braid it up and leave it alone...if more women did the same, growth and RETENTION which is also important would be no problem.

It does seem like that my brother got treadlocks last year and he took them out. His hair is so long and it's past his shoulders now.

..Well i beleive Omarion is type4a/b...anywhoo i digress, it is allll about retention, thats why i am going to grow it like a man: http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=80200&highlight=crissi

yea me too. I think he's a 4a. I think Lloyd might be 3a or 3b-ish

ETA: I really like your "grow it like a man" idea. Its a different perspective and seems no-fail.
