ok, whenever i straighten my hair (either at home or at the salon) after day 2 or 3, my hair starts to look real greasy. besides the fact that i need a $50 wash/set to last longer than 2 or 3 days, i also dont want people to be like "ooh look at her dirty head, she needs to wash".
I do not put any oils in my head or hair, i will spray my ends very lightly with Cathy Howse's "dew" after a couple of days to keep my ends hydrated. thats it. i wear my hair curly (wash n go's) about 75% of the time but i guess when my hair is straight the sebum that my scalp produces is able to travel throughout my hair more easily.

point is, does anybody have any suggestions on freshening up my hair without washing?

oh and if i re-flat iron, it makes it even worse.

I have have experienced the same thing. (I naturally have an oily scalp.) I barely use any product at all, but my hair starts looking oily a day or two after washing and flat-ironing it. When that happens, I sprinkle a little Burt's Bees baby powder on my hairbrush and brush it through my hair. It helps to freshen things up a bit. Also, Bumble & Bumble makes hair powders in brunette, red, and blonde tones.

maaaaaaaan la mosca, i wasn't trying to buy anything!!!! do you know i have a serious pj problem, but you know im finna check it out. thanks homie.

any other home remedies ladies?

ummm that ish is expensive. $35 for a 4oz can. that's a little bit of lunacy. but if i dont find anything else, i'll probably pay for it.

im doing some reading up, and they all suggest using a little powder/cornstarch to clean it up. thanks. i think i shall try.
