I started graying in my 20's. I'm in my 30's now, and they are becoming increasingly noticeable. Strange enough the color rinses work better at covering my grays than the permanent dye. I just recently dyed my hair blonde and the dye did absolutely nothing to my grays.
My mother found my first two grays around age 6. They went away soon after and then I had two in the back around age 30. Now, at 45, my gray has been steadily increasing for the last 8 years.
I use Clairol Root Touch Up on the front. I can't see the back so I don't worry about it. That's the business of those that can see back there.
My sister plucked out my first gray hair while she was doing my hair for high school graduation. I have a few consistent ones now in my mid 20s. They don't bother me; they're nice and shiny.
I think I noticed my first one at 27 or so. I'm 31 now and have about 3 or 4 of them, they're not yet visible, they hide really well.
I haven't really thought about what I'll do once they start coming in more visibly... I think I will leave them be, and maybe color the ones in the front? Not sure, so far I kind of like them.
Saw a few strands in my 30s. I was shocked to find them, but i love salt and pepper hair so it doesn't bother me. I've read using/ingesting black strap molasses returns grays to their original color.
I get good, lasting color from SM. I hadn't dyed my hair in awhile due to pregnancy; I used john fried foam color back in May and I will never use it again. The color was gone in less than a month. I'm going back to SM when I dye in September. There's a thread I'll bump for you. @MzRhonda
Noticed my first one in high school. It was bound to happen. I take after my mom. She grayed extremely early. I was 50% gray in my thirties. Now using henna/indigo mixture.
I have a patch of gray hair in the back of my head that I've had since I was 17. No one sees it unless I make a part. I'm 35 now and I have several gray hairs along my temples. I just pluck them them with tweezers and of course they grow right back. I don't want to start going through the hassle of dyeing my hair all the time once I start getting more grays. I went through all of that trouble when I used to put relaxers in my hair.
I used to get sporadic grey hair here or there but they would fall out. This yr though, right before I turned 33, these greys started popping in and refusing to leave.I do have a bottle of black hair rinse underneath my bathroom sink.
I've got a few sporadic grays in the crown of my head. I've had them since my mid twenties. They're surrounded by dark brown hair so you don't see them unless I make a really deep center part. There aren't enough to fuss with color but I may henna/hendigo them if they ever bother me.
