Got a touch up w/ ELUCENCE today...

Used the super strength

...didn't burn a bit...okay, well, I take that back, I had a little tingling in my nape area, but I was scratching the night before. I also got a colorshines in mohogony. My hair came out excellent. I know that some people have complained that elucence was too mild or their hair did not 'take'. Well, maybe you should try the super because my hair is pretty thick and it did a heck of a job on me.

I go to my girl DeeDee. She used to work at JCP, but recently got her own shop. She does a GREAT job on my hair. I found her in May when I was trying to ge serious about my hair. So far so good...

Miss jetsetter, I know that it has been a couple of months since you posted on this topic, but I have a couple of questions if you're there! I'm very interested in this relaxer (particularly the extra strength since my hair is so resistant). When your friend applied the relaxer, did she use the protective barrier on your scalp and also did she use the other conditioning products that Elucence recommends be used with their relaxer? This is one of many relaxer systems that I'm considering trying for my next touch up and I was wondering if I could get away with just purchasing the relaxer and neutralizing shampoo without all of their other products, for now at least. Also, do you think that you will be using this relaxer again?

If anyone else has experience with this relaxer, any info would be helpful.

Hi Cindy!

Yes, she used the ENTIRE line on my hair. She based me with the protective barrier, applied the relaxer, neutrilized with th Elucence neutrilizing shampoo and gave me a treatment with the extended moisture repair treatment. She then conditoned me with the moisture benefits conditoner rollerset my hair with their setting lotion.

I was VERY pleased with the results. So pleased that I purchased close to $75 worth of Elucence products. I got everything in the entire line except for the neutrilizing shampoo and one other thing. I wash and set my hair weekly with the Elucence products and my hair comes out really nice. As a matter of fact, my bf asked me if I got a touch up the other day and I'm currently at 7 or 8 weeks, LOL!

How do you guys get the relaxer? I know the lady from the website wants to know if you have a license.

I didn't think that you needed a license to order it from the web site.

I didn't either but when I use to post on another website some of the ladies were saying that the lady would call to after you order to ask if you had a license. Now this was a few years ago so maybe she doesn't do that anymore.

Your hair is so beautiful, and I just love the thickness!!! I would like to know your hair regimen if you don't mind.

I used it for a about a year, then my hair started to shed ALOT. Once I stopped, the shedding stopped. I know 2 other people this happened too, so just pay attention to your hair, you may or may not have this problem.. if you like it stick with it.
