Phytospecific. It has never burned me, it leaves my hair feeling unlimp (yes, I made that word up). I don't get that slicked-to-my-skull feeling after a fresh relaxer. My hair feels healthy and looks wonderful.

I used Phytospecific for two years but it eventually started drying out my hair and I have since switched back to lye and use Mizani Butter Blend...

You can order the phytospecific from pollyandco.com, she has great customer services and always sent alot of free samples with her Phyto orders...

sqzbly1908, I notice that you are doing the protein is my friend challange. I've been lurking that thread alot. What protein products are you using?

HI DP...

I am using Megatek and Ultra Sheen as my hard protein - AO GPB and Nexxus Keraphix as my mild protein

ORS Olive Oil (no lye).

I've thought about switching to "lye" but my scalp itches too much once I decide it's time to do a touch-up.

The no-lye version has never burned my scalp, even after brushing my hair and scratching like a mangy animal the day before relaxing.

Plus, this is easy to find, I've been getting the professional version from Sally's, I already have the full-sized bottles of the neutralizing 'poo and a bottle of the conditioner, so no need for the "at home" version.

If you wanna try Phyto you can checkout hairboutique.com here is a coupon code for 20 % off.... although i'm not sure how long it is active ... I just got it in an e-mail on tues...
SO20** thats the code

HTH
