Is this ok as a base right before I do my relaxer?

It's Olde Jamaica Black Castor Oil with Tea Tree Oil

Ingredients:

Contains Sunflower Seed oil, Olive oil, Coconut oil, Wheat Germ oil, Tea Tree oil, Jojoba oil, Almond oil, Shea oil, Hemp Seed oil, Vitamin E oil and Rosemary extracts in a base of pure Jamaican Black Castor oil.

Hey Friend -

I wouldn't use mine as a base.. you can get the same results using vaseline- If you just want to use it along with your relaxer, you could maybe put a little in your relaxer or put in on the ends of your hair...but there is no harm in using it as a base but there cheaper options that yield the same if not better results...

I would not recommend using a product with Tea Tree Oil as a base because it has the effect similar to opening up the scalp which may lead to burning.

Thanks, I already have this oil because I use it to oil my scalp once a week. I didn't know trea tree oil did that. I have a bunch of basic castor oil that's clear and doesn't have anything else in it that I guess I could use

I've been basing with coconut oil my last couple of touch-ups, and that works well, too.
