I had to go sneak in some of my moms, :sekret: but that stuff has been what my ends have been craving!

They are soft, moisturized and most of all NOT Frazzled up!

SO thanks to you ladies who suggested it. I was kinda ruling it out b/c of the mineral oil but who cares, if it works it works, just won't go on the scalp AND I wash this week...

Thanks again!

Girl you sound like us Texas folks with that "good lookin out". Where u from?My bad I just looked at your profile! O and yes ors is great

It is my staple moisturizer! You know they have a version of the olive oil that is mineral oil free right? And it feels and looks just the same as the original version--color, packaging, everything! Only thing is, its hard to find b/c I guess they are still phasing it in or something.:ohwell: They replaced the mineral oil with coconut oil from the looks of it. Everytime I catch it in stock, I snatch it! The ORS carrot oil is also mineral oil free, but the smell is just not . . . appealing. :nono:

Really? Does it have a special designation on it that says NOW MINERAL OIL FREE? Or do I have to sit there and read the ingredients?
Now if they could only take out some of the other stuff, then they'd really be "Organic" like the DMDM Hydantoin...

LOL, really? We say that all the time up her in NY! Now it's just "Good lookin' " it means the same....Lol, I digress...

The mineral oil free formula actually comes in a jar, not a bottle. That is how I distinguish between the 2 products.

Yeah its funny the way they did it. The bottled one (the ORS lotion) doesn't contain mineral oil, but it does have petrolatum. That one was a total no go for me. The original one in the jar (Olive oil creme) didn't have petrolatum, but had mineral oil.

The new cream one in the jar doesn't have mineral oil or petrolatum. You know how the original ORS in the jar comes in two sizes? One for $8(4oz) and the other for about $12? The new mineral oil free one is cheaper than both of those-- for about $4 in a original $8, 4oz jar. They took out the junk and made it cheaper  They also took out some of the other good extracts though (horsetail, nettle and some others though they still claim to have them in there on the label hype part:lol: I don't see them on the ingredient list unless they have a long fancy chemicalized name) so that might be why the price is lower. :perplexed Those product chemists are on their job though, you can't tell the difference between the formulations at all. You are right though Elle, all of the versions are chock full of parabens, so if you scurred of that kinda thing you might wanna pass.

There are two olive oil products. The Organic Root Stimulator olive oil lotion is the one in the bottle, the Organic Root Stimulator creme is in the jar.

This link is for the one in the jar and shows a pic. The lotion summary didn't have a pic :ohwell: You can also see their full line up of products there too.
