This episode made me very upset with Tyra. I'm probably dead wrong but at the moment it made it seem like she was exploiting for ratings / wow factor. I hate seeing kids being exploited
I've seen that before but it never gets less upsetting. Relaxed or natural doesn't matter as much as how you review yourself and others. I don't have children but if I ever do I would be ashamed of myself if they ever repeated what those littler girls were expressing.
How Did We "As a People" Get to this Place?erplexed
In the 60's & 70's Black Was Beautiful. The Bigger the Afro the More "Coveted" Your Hair was among Blacks and Whites. Whites all wanted the BAA. And Jews emulated the BAA as well. And White People were in mass droves getting "curly perms"
Now, we are at a Sad Place. I, for one, think Massive Integration has done something to destroy the psyche of black heritage, black pride and black culture.
Personally, I cannot believe months short of 2010, there are still conversations regarding light skin vs dark skin, good hair vs bad hair, relaxed vs natural. It's totally senseless.
It all starts in The Mind. Getting our Minds on One Accord. That's why we, as a people cannot "Progess"
We remain stuck Majoring in the Minors. Socially, Educationally, Economically, Politically, Financially.
And now, with the sudden interest, in this topic particular topic and media exploition, black women have been further emasculated and disrespected.
We keep fighting amongst ourselves over these trivial matters to our own Extinction.
Just for the record, I didn't post this to make anybody upset. With this new movie ‘’Good Hair’’ with Chris Rock it's been a lot of talk about this movie and it needs to be. People need to wake up out here, thats why I love everybody up on here for their knowledge. It's sad people still thinking like this. Our Black people will wake up, one day!
