Hey Ladies! It feels so good to be back here again. I took a long break for while. I was getting such a wealth of info that I stopped and decided to try some out for awhile. Last summer was when I first started coming to this site. I was frustrated because my once long hair had broken off so bad, in some parts, my length was 2 inches and in others it was 5. it looked horrible.
I took a big leap and went to JC Penney Salon where my stylist cut it to ear-length(the shortest my hair had been since I was 3!) I began to use Mizani andd Nexxus products along with Mango Butter, Profective, and Biosilk. It looked great.I reported back here with my results....and one month later, my stylist went on maternity leave. (good for her, bad for me!)
I started to freak out. I didn't want my hair to revert back to it's cave-girl look so I did a risky thing and just pulled a salon name out of the newspaper. God must have been with with me big time because my new stylist is the BEST!!! I went in with a list of things not to do and what not to use. Well, I didn't need to show her. She relaxed my hair with a sodium hydroxide relaxer, trimmed it and styled it to perfection. I have 4a/b hair and let me tell you...I left her salon with hair that felt like silky asian hair. (No joke!) It was Soo bouncy and full of life and was the best my hair had ever looked. She trimmed it in layers that fell perfectly. I told her the state my hair was in before and she let me know I was doing a great job.

I see her now once every 3 1/2 months for my touch-up and trim. Last year this time, my hair was about mid-ear in length. Now, it is super-thick, shiny, and a 1/2 past my shoulder for the back layers. I wash with Nexxus Therappe shampoo and condition with Nexxus humectress once a week. Then I apply Dudly's setting lotion if I must blow dry, followed by Dudley's cream press or Profectiv's moisturizer. I do curl it, but I use minimum heat. At night I apply Biosilk and wrap up. I take MSM, Biotin, Cod Liver Oil, brewers yeast, and evening primrose. Believe me, my hair is 100% better today then it was a year ago and I owe it all to you ladies!!!
