the sale is over today in a few hours. should i pick it up. i did a board search earlier but didn't find much about this particular model. i want to switch to roller setting to reduce the amount of direct heat that use. currently, i only use direct heat after i wash.

my question - what has been your experience with this dryer? do you recommend?

i read on another site that some people have had problems getting the back of their hair dry.

here's a pic of it: http://www.folica.com/Gold__N_Hot_Pro_d4524.html

thanks in advance to all who help!

I have a hard bonnet dryer from Sally's, but it's the Ion one. It's great for roller sets. It took longer for the back of my hair to dry than the front and sides.

I use to use it, but it broke, my only gripe is having a table high enough to put it on. but it gives off good heat. I bought mine at sallys' too and before breaking it lasted for a few years and it gets hot.

I purchased dryers from Sally's two different times and I was not impressed with them at all. The first one just stopped getting hot and the other one the hood broke off. My Brother- n-law closed his hair salon down a couple of years and had been holding on to a couple of dryers. I offered to buy one, but he told me I can have my pick of them---for FREE. I don't know the brand, but I know the one I liked when I went to the shop.:drunk::drunk:

I bought the Gold N Hot from Sally's but it was the 1400 watts one. I liked it, but I did run into the issue with getting the back of my rollerset dry. It got extremely hot, but it was on the nosey side. Hope that helps some. I returned mine and purchased the Rolleraway Gold N Hot from a local BSS. Similiar to the one in the post above. Love that one so far.

How big is the bonnet? How big are the rollers you want to use when you're under it? How big is your head? :lachen: Make sure you won't get wedged/stuck in it if your rollers are large!

I have this same exact dryer and I had it for a few years. I hate it, it does get hot but it does not blow hard enough and like others said it does not dry the back of your hair and u need a high surface to sit it on. This dryer is the reason why I blowdry flat iron. I say get something else
