Next week I plan on starting over with my hair. I am going to a good friend of my aunts. She is going to shampoo, condition, and then trim my hair. The last time I had a salon trim or cut, I was in the tenth grade. I have been doing it myself since then.

The ends of my hair are irrepairably damaged. I realized this, this morning while I was trying to style it. I finally did my final damage test. Usually if my hair is just frizzy a little heat from my flat iron will straighten it up. Even after this it is still frizzy.

Maybe having a fresh start will help things along a bit.

I am just going to have her even it up a bit. I will not scream or cuss or cry while she is cutting, instead I will think about those d*mn bleached in highlights I had to have, the weekly deep conditioning with Motions CPR, and the feel of cotton as it soaked all of the moisture out of my hair.

Remember it is a fresh start.

Good for you!

Girl, I'm right with you. Yesterday I had to cut my hair because you could see RIGHT through the length and it was fuzzy and totally uneven from the hair in the front & crown area. I'm getting weave put in and I hope I can grow out my hair healthy since I now have a regimen. I felt MUCH better once it was cut, surprisingly.

I hope I feel better. The last time I had to do this was in the tenth grade. But then I was not alone. My Mom got her hair cut too. We both wanted a fresh start.

Great for you karezone. I know the feeling. Each month when I went for a touch up, I had the stylist trim approximately 1-2" of damaged hair off. I actually felt better when i left the salon because of course my hair appeared much healthier and in fact I was ridding my hair of those horrendous damaged, frizzy, uneven ends.

I thought I had trimmed all damaged ends off, but it appears as if I have another 0.5-1.0" of damaged ends that I will have trimmed off with my next relaxer due in 2 weeks. I will be completely damage free approximately one year later to the date.
