Going swimming tonight! Need help!!

Ladies, I really need your help. I am going to an adult pool party tonight. My hair, which is 2 weeks post touch-up, ***might*** get wet. I really don't want to wear a swim cap cause...umm...it don't match my bathing suit. Now I will wear one if you all tell me to

Is there something else though that I can do to protect my hair...like slather it with Vaseline or something?

i'd put it in a pony tail ,then slather a thick conditioner on it ,then put it into a bun.
