glass flat iron

Hey ladies I had some money to waste on a Macy's gift card and I picked up this glass flat iron it was like $20.00. I have micros in right now so I can't really try it out. Has anyone tried this before?
 
I have no idea, but I think that there was another thread on this. Not too many responses though. I'm curious about it as well, I'm going to go and get me a cheap ceramic flat iron in December (something to last me til I get a higher end one). But if the glass one is better I would like to know more about it as well.
 
Yep- I started a thread a while back and one person responded that they had one(I'm soo sorry I can't remember who it was:ohwell: ) and she said she LOVED hers that her hair gets straighter with a lower heat.
I guess not a whole lot of ladies use glass irons, so you may be one of the very few that we will be watching for results, lol!!
 
I have one for the sealing ends treatment (Hair Lady) that I use with the tin foil. I like it and true it takes very little heat. Bonjour
 
Thanks for responding ladies. It's true that it doesn't take alot of heat to straighten. I tried curling my micros with it and it curls nice. Can't wait to use it on my newgrowth.

I use Babyliss Thermaglass. it IS expensive (£70 sterling) but i got mine for £30 in a special. there are places where ucan get these real cheap (babyliss) keep lookin. they are the best!!! a luvly heat dial, it include a stand aswell to keep it upright and safe. starts at 140 all the way up 200..at 160-180 ihave BONNEEE straight hair, my old straighteners (ceramic - ghd) had to get to at LEAST 200 to get anything nr straight

No they really are not expensive. I got mine at Macy's for like $20 - $22 dollars which is nothing considering how much we spend on our hair a month( or is that just me :look: )

I'll have to check out Macy's, what brand is yours?
 
i would just like to say i so so soooo recommend this iron it really did change my hair relationship with heat. i can blowdry and use the glass iron and it would be like i never added additonal heat at all referrin to texture and health of my stands!
