Hi I wasnt sure if there was a thread already on ghe but I have been doing it for this week to try to help my dry scalp. When I remove the bag in the morning the length of my hair is moist but my scalp is still fairly dry and flaky. :/
Am I doing something wrong or does ghe not help moisten the scalp.

I havent Ghe in a while, but to my understanding your scalp should be moist after gheing. Are the flacks dry flakes or mushy flakes? Are you applying anything to your scalp? Like a moisturizer. If not, that might be the problem. The GHE causes your scalp to sweat and for sum people the salt from the scalp can make their scalp drier.

I believe that there is a thread about GHE. Hopefully some of the other ladies will chime in.

thank you pelohello! I spritz water on it and its the normal dry flakes I have always.

I do GHE and I don't typically add any additional oil. However, I do oil my scalp regularly so that may be why I don't have scalp troubles with it.

Because the method is supposed to encourage sebum production, maybe try a little jojoba oil on your scalp prior to your next GHE treatment and see if that makes a difference.

I do it pretty often (2-3 times a week) with JBCO on the scalp after a massage. Sometimes its just a moisturizer on my hair strands depending on whats needed. I mostly do it to help the product penetrate and for moisture.

I LOVE this HHJ!!

When that happens to me, it's usually a sign I need to clarify

I'll definitely try that thanks! anyone have a good place to buy jojoba oil? I can never find it at whole foods. would an international market have it?

I buy mine at Vitacost nadaa16

I think that you can get it from Amazon, too.

I think youre supposed to moisturize and you can either oil before you put the baggie on or after you take it off in the morning

:Yep: nadaa16
This is a good way to do it. I like it best with a moisturizer before baggying then sealing in the moisture with an oil after taking off the baggy. You have to find what works best for your hair
