Getting out of red

ive had my hair red for so long that i cant dye it any color but red or black. i tried to bleach it out but it was just turning pinker and pinker so i did it red again when i put brown over it it doesnt do anything. has this happened to anyone else and if so what did u do?

i read somewhere that red is one color that you have to let grow out b/c it cant be covered with any other color

I use to do the reds and light browns back in the day. I had to let it grow out and also slowly trim it out. It was too hard for me to keep it moisturized.

GB, be careful with all of that bleaching and dyeing! I agree with flyjump00 that you should let it grow out and trim it off.

I know what u mean - i had to grow all my red hair out. But maybe something is possible - try pm'n tracy and asking her what she thinks
