Guys, What is a featherwrap.

I am getting my hair done this weekend and the lady there suggested I get that.

I googled and came up short.

Is it just a wrap?

I thought that was called a roller wrap.

Perhaps "feather wrap" is just a regional term. For example, in MD we call a roller set and wrap a "roller wrap." But when I came to NY that exact same process was known as a "doobie."

Where i live featherwraps are regular wraps except when unwrapped, only the bottom layer is combed curled under, while the top layer curls are laying flat going left and right on top of each other but not curled under(kinda hard to explain, but very pretty)

If I'm not mistaken, it is a roller wrap and they kind of "feather" it going back. Yeah, it is hard to explain. But they are pretty.

It's hard to explain but it's been popular in Baltimore for the past year or so. They feather the layers in your hair going back (away from the face) instead of just bumping the ends in a wrap. The layers almost look like flips but not as sharp, and they lay flat instead of sticking up. It flows nicely though. HTH... I had a picture but you can't see the feathers just the front with my hair parted down the middle.

Did you ever figure out what featherwrap is?

Honeydew, a feather wrap is when the hair is sorta flipped , but its not flipped up like a farrah fawcett do, the "flips" are flat to the head (does this make sense?) Also, they do something to ur hair where the texture is really light and feathery and really flowy. Hence the term "feather wrap"

My friends get them all the time, and they are so pretty. You should definitely get ur hair this way. HTH!

I never got the featherwrap. I did not because my hair is so uneven and I decided to chill on salons until I achieve my even length goal.

THe salon was JC Penny in Columbia, though. They have a few stylist there that do black hair so I think I am going to lean towards them if I even decide to do it.
