Getting a Keritin Treatment Tomorrow

OP your hair looks good. I've been doing fomaldehyde free keratin treatments on my daughters every 4-5 months using just 1-2 passes and their hair has done well.

As my siggie shows, I have the worse most damaged head of hair, lol. I bleach it, I dye, I relax, and I use Bkt. Doesn't it look like it's barely clinging to my scalp? The only thing that really took my hair out that I wasn't expecting is plain old conditioner.

Op I think your hair is beautiful. I look forward to updates and I'm gearing up to do another bkt soon. Thanks for sharing!

You're definitely the exception. Most cannot go through all of that and still have hair, let alone healthy hair. That's some super skrong hair.

lol I know and I'm certainly not advocating anyone else try that. All I'm saying is that every person has to be happy with their hair and their process. I've done tons of things to my head that never should have been done and now I can tell the next person my experience.Every head of hair is not the same.

IDK how this thread turned into what's more damaging. :ohwell:Tons of people are excited and happy about trying new things and post all the time.

Your hairs looks great OP. thanks for sharing, I'm considering a BKT as well. Your hairs looks so silky an shiny!!

I will post pictures of my wet hair when I wash either this weekend or early next week. Thank you to everyone who tried to keep this thread on topic and not let it get off track with a heat vs relaxer debate.

As promised pictures of my wet hair. These were taken straight out of the shower with no product.

Re: Getting a Keritin Treatment Tomorrow-Wet hair pictures included

I forgot to add that washing was a breeze! I am not going to use double heat. I will add conditioner to stretch the hair and either lightly flat iron or blowdry tomorrow.

Leona what kind of bkt are you doing, or are you on the next generation based.

I need to invest in a new BKT. I have used Dream Hair, 30 day liquid keratin treatment, and the organix one. The 30 day made my hair shed really bad. I'm researching my next BKT. I haven't decided yet. I like the Organix one it performed really well on my ng, but it didn't last that long.

@biancaelyse

Brand please!!!

She may still be using QOD Organiq. Thats the one I used and my hair liked it just fine. Being I'm an asthmatic, I have no business being around formaldehyde and I didn't even have to wear a mask. I wore my hair curly most of the time, and my curls were more 3b-c than 4a-c3.

I'm considering giving it a go again, but I've been in the lazy phase for a while where my hair is concerned.

Avaya

As Arcadian stated, I use QOD Max Organiq and we really love it.

Update- I went about 14 weeks with the keratin treatment. I truly made my hair more manageable and less frizzy. I was in love how easy it was too style and maintain my hair.

The treatment did wear completely off and my hair returned to its previous state of frizz. I did not have any problems such as shedding or dryness.

That being said, I went for another treatment on Friday. I will rock straight hair for a week and them go back to my braid out buns.
