I've used the real and fake K-Pak Reconstructor. They look different, but both of them work the same on my hair. The fake one is thicker than the real one.

I second sassygirl. I also tried Generic Sebastian Potion 9 but I didn't like it at ALL so i didn't try the real thing. I heard it works the same though.
I recently purchased the generic k-pak and I must say Im impressed! I love the results. The only thing that bothers me is......if the generic is this good, the real one must be the BOMB! (Ive never tried the real one). I may have to purchase the real one once just to see what Im missing.
I have the generic Ion reconstructor but I haven't used it yet. The generic biosilk wasnt all that to me, but I think I may need to try it again with a better flat iron.
I have used the real one and in comparison, the generic is just as good. It just smells different. From now on I will be using the generic just to be cost effective.
Beyond the Zone Acid Shock conditioner booster (with Pantene r & n cond. over it)- love it- it adds shine, seals the cuticle and gives great curl definition..
Generic KPak- use to love it
Generic Humectress- use to love it
Thanks, I used it but I don't think it did any thing special. I am gonna try it again. Do you use and exactly how do you use it. I think I tried with a deep conditioner and with a instant conditioner. I understand the theory behind it so I must have done something wrong.
I wash with Aubrey Organics chammomile shampoo, rinse, then use a Mebco comb to detangle and apply the Acid shock allover my hair then I put Pantene R & N on top of it then I put some Hipropac conditioner over that put a condition cap on and heat it with a blowdryer. I usually leave my conditioners in for approx. 2 hours. and then rinse.
My hair cames out shiny and soft (I used it 3 times so far.)
I learn something new with each post I read. I have never tried the generic versions of any of the products mentioned here. Usually I end up splurging on a big tube of the kpak reconstructor at 34 bucks a pop. I will give the generic a try when I finish my supply.
Well I just tried Generic Nexxus Humectress. Yuck No detangling, No softness, no smoothness and now my hair is out of wack. Beyond wack. ewww I am returning this to Sally's as soon as I can and exchange it for something better.
