did a roller set to let it dry then wrapped it. It looks good, but then I realized I didn't use the neutralizing shampoo :wallbash:
What should I do now???????

Go wash your hair right now with the nuetralizing shampoo. The nuetralizer stops the chemical process that occurs with a relaxer. Even though you washed the visible relaxer out there is a strong possiblity that its still on the hair shaft and still processing. Get off the computer and shampoo your hair, you need to suck up the lost hair style. Bye, talk to you after you shampoo

what she said! let us know how it turns out!

I just finished up washing it out.....I'm going to do some deep conditioning. Should I do a protein treatment too or will that just worsen the problem?

I personally dont like to do a protein treatment immediately after freshly relaxed hair, I vote to push moisture. Do you normally relax your own hair?

Just incase you did the protein after you still need to follow it up with a moisture dc.

Sadly, I normally relax my own hair and this is the first time I've ever forgotten. I don't know what happened. I think I was so excited about doing a roller set..smh

Wow, you must have been extra excited to forget the most important step! Did you shampoo with something other than a neutralizing shampoo or just skipped the whole shampoo process itself??

I will never be that excited to do a set :nono:

We so scared for you about thus neutralizing, that we didn't even badger you for pictures

I did that in college when my hair was at its peak health, don't know what i was thinking but used Nexxus Therappe and forgot the neutralizing shampoo, then styled, everything looked fine. the damage showed up the next day on my hairline when i went to work and looked in the mirror--looked like i'd applied Nair. Went home neutralized & olive oil olive oil olive oil treatments kept the rest of my hair on my head. Point is not neutralizing will make your hair fall out even if it's not right away. I also neutralized again for a few shampoos in the weeks following that near total disaster. Your hair is gorgeous, please don't dismiss the importance of the neutralizer just cuz ur hair didn't break right away.

I agree with all of this. The damage will gradually show up. Best of luck gurly!
