Most of you know that 2 Christmases ago there was a whole debacle with moi and Mama SCG mistakenly throwing out the Coconut Oil:

http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=664589

But this situation tops this one by a long shot.....:look:

It was December 30th at around 10.45am and my parents started up the
Jeep Liberty to take me to the Chinatown bus (Eastern Travel) headed back to New York at 10.30. Eastern Travel recommends getting there 30 mins early even if you have purchased an e-ticket. I wheeled out my heavy suitcase but instead of leaving it to the side of the Jeep it wheeled it behind so my Daddy aka Papa SCG could lift the hatch and put in the back for me and jumped in back. Mama SCG was in the front on the passenger side.

I wasn't paying full attention and I kinda forgot to mention to Papa SCG that he needed to put my suitcase in the back (out of habit I am used to him doing it for me but I usually have it in plain sight on the passenger side on the right near where it sit. He jumped in and asked me did I have everything cause for a minute I thought I forgot my cell phone. I found it and said I was ready to go. He had trouble reversing and then tried again and there was a loud crunching noise! That's when we realized it was my suitcase!:perplexed:blush: We quickly hopped out of the car and my suitcase and some of the contents in it were completely destroyed! My 2 fave sweaters, ruined. My netbook laptop ruined. I had my Samsonite suitcase for about 20yrs and it was quite durable but this was a bit extreme, :lachen:. My parents quickly rushed in the house to try to find suitcases for me to put my stuff in while I assessed the damage and threw things in the garbage. Mama & Papa SCG told me anything that didn't fit could be shipped to moi and the stainless steel faux magic bullet they gave me would be doubled checked to ensure it was shipped to see if it was working since the book was demolished. We quickly put everything between 2 smaller suitcases and made it to the bus around 11.22 am :nono:

My precious soft bonnet dryer of more than 15yrs was ruined... we had some awesome times together. I am grateful that it happened quickly so she didn't feel much pain. She's in electronic health & beauty heaven frolicking with hand dryers, facial steamers, clarisonic face brushes maxing and relaxing.... I know GAWT is able and she's gon be alright, but I miss her so:cry: I need comfort hair sisters... its only been a few days and though the year is new I am somber. Pearline was kind, unwavering, gentle and loving to me. She assisted me with my transitioning process back in 02'

WWWHHHHHHHHYYYY LLLLLAAAAAWWWWD WHHHHHHYYYY!!! *slides down the wall and ugly cries!!*

On the up side no hair or skincare products were damaged and thanks for letting me share!!! I swear I can't make this ISH up!!!!:spinning:

*pours kombucha out for all the hair appliances that are no longer here and in the ancestral realm*

My family is crazy and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world, although sometimes I want to choke some folks and release right before they blackout:look:......

IDareT'sHair

I will :) she asked for my addy today so I assume she will order in the next 24hrs. Mama SCG also said she would buy one so it would always be at the house so I don't have to pack it.

Awwwww....
What a way to start off the year SCG!!!!!! You'll get new stuff and after a time, all will be right in your world. :hug2:
Happy New Year

Why'd you have to go so soon?
It seems like yesterday we were hanging
Round the hood now I'm gonna keep your memory alive
Like a homie should a lifetime of memories

Going down the drain (GOING DOWN THE DRAIN) I'd like to keep stepping
But I can't get past the pain, I tip my 40 to your memory! !!!

:bighug: Thanks january noir

I started laughing at one point and I should have taken pics. The lesson I got from this was the Universe speaking to me from several different perspectives, given some of the trials/ tribulations I have had over the past 2-2.5 yrs:
1. Don't worry about what you can't control.
2. What's done is done.
3. Stop getting upset over things you can control and make the necessary changes.
4.The messed up things people do to you aren't about you, its tied to them and their issues.
5. Stop giving away my power and I am more in control of things than I think I am.
6. Stop trying and just do it!!
7. Material things can be easily replaced and be mindful of my attachment to inanimate objects.

 I know many of these are easier said than done, but this perspective reminds me to remain grateful no matter what I have so I can be open to do, receive and be more.:yep:

Thank you! You had such a comical attitude and positive outlook towards it.

I wish I could muster some sympathy for you but I can't. You have been excessively rude to me and I am forced to believe this is karma. And you better not call me to cuss me out. Tootles........ #wontkarmadoit :)

Lucie

:look:You fat 5 Sprigged Hussy!!! I should have known you would say something smart. May your tracks fall out one by one on all your errands tomorrow in public places in front of numerous white people.... Bethany & Becky in particular.

:grin:I lubbs you Boothang, XOXO!:yep:

GIRL! I just cried the other night for my Hana. I replaced her after she's been broken for MONTHS! But I finally replaced her last month. Everytime I use the other flat iron I feel like I'm cheating on Hana. I still haven't disposed of her yet. I still keep her on my desk :'( My new flat iron works beautifully, but it's so heavy and cumbersome to do curls.

I feel your pain boo! Keep your head up. Hopefully your new dryer will hold you down the way Pearline did.

RIP Hana & Pearline! You lovely ladies will be missed dearly!

@Honey Bee

I did nothing to that 5 sprigged hussy @Lucie ..... don't be fooled by that luxurious hurr weave, pretty face, and soft spoken voice! She is evil and I suspect instead of being from Queens she resides 5 sub basements below the firey pits of blackest hayle:look:

Praise da Lawd no products were harmed!!!:yep: #wonthedoit #lookatgawt :lachen::lol:
