i picked some of this stuff up today on a whim
because i wanted to try something with my twists.

i think i like this stuff so far.

i'm just using it on each section that i twist
the jar says it has "strong" hold and it seems to hold pretty well
but my twists become softer after using it
which of course, is a great thing.

the shine is pretty awesome too.

the first 2 ingredients are

water and PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil
glycerin is also high on the list.

the only downside is that the scent is overwhelming!
it has a REALLY strong fruity/perfumy smell to it
it might be pleasing if it wasnt so "HERE I AM!!!!!"

i got it from walgreens

sometimes when i rave about a product
the next day, i'm like "ehhh...maybe it wasnt all that great"

but this one still seems be holding up.

the shine/sheen i got with this is still present.
obviously not as blingy as it was last night
but still a real good sheen

my hair is also still pretty soft too
it's not like "ooooooooh la la" soft
but softer than it was before i put it in

i really didnt think it'd do much
but i figured i'd try it just for the heck of it.
i pretty much just wanted something i could use for my twists
i usually just do it with my leave-in and some oil
but i wanted to see if i could find a way to get them "better"
and to hold more...but i didnt want to use a gel
and i didnt want a wax that was...super waxy (like with beeswax and stuff like that) and i saw this.

i dont know much about other garnier products
i did try their curl & shine leave-in
a while back and i only semi-liked it

I thought about you today when I went in Walgreens. I picked up some. It looks so cool. Its clear!!!! And Im happy that its water based. I haven't used any yet but I will. I think Im gonna start a thread to see if any body else like Garnier's products. Im loving the Length and Strength for co washes!!! I wonder what else is good.

i dont like this...it seemed good at first(for holding down edges n such) but after day 2 it was like a greasy mess around my hairline...the buildup on my hair was overwhelming...and the scent is strong like the op said

I bought this a few weeks ago and I really like it!!...You are not suppose to use ALOT of this product.:nono:....just a small dab rubbed on hands to spread and then apply it to what ever part you want smoothness or shine. It does contain castor oil and glycerin...and they are really heavy and greasy products. I personally like this better that Jam because it is less greasy to me in my opinion..im guessing it is because Jam has Mineral oil in it which really makes the product jus sit on top...while the other one gets absorb alil better....IMO..:yep:

Oh BTW...I love the sent...people at work be like what u got on it smells good...but for some it might be alil overwelming
