This is my 2nd time using Jarrow's "Pure" MSM powder and it is not passing the test.

I raved about this brand before so I thought I would let you guys know that my last batch was not as pure as they advertise. The water was so cloudy!!! I did call Jarrow's customer service but the consumer advisor never returned my voicemail. :ohwell:

Anyway, I switched to Source Naturals MSM powder and it is fine - sinkng and dissolving clear. (By the way - Vitacost.com is the bomb. This was only $13.24. My local Health Food Market sells it for $22)

The only thing about the Source Naturals is that they have a version that has Vitamin C in it (not sure why). I did not buy that one, but I did see it in the store.

In the MSM thread, it says that Vitamin C helps with the absorption of MSM. HTH.

I just bought this one and the water is cloudy. My last container did not do that. That is why I contacted them to asks why this particular container is ding this.

The only difference is that the last time I had the smaller jar. This time I got the 16 oz. container.

thanks! Yeah, after I posted this, I did a little Googleing last night and saw that. I think I may try that version next time.

That's funny. The Trimedica big container gets cloudy on me too, but the smaller one did not. From what I know, if it doesn't dissolve clearly it's contaminated and Vitamin-C is supposed to help with internal absorption--not its absorption in water.

Lifetime MSM (160z) stayed clear on me though and it cost about $18 bucks.

One site online said that the cloudiness meant fillers to help the powder be more free flowing.

Maybe the larger containers do have more fillers since there is more powder.
