O.K this is mainly to vent. I'm so sick of my freaking hair already. Why isn't it long yet???? I am so nice to my hair and it doesn't want to return the favor. I mean it's healthy and pretty long and everything but I can't hot curl it or dye it or have any sort of fun with it. Plus I have all this new growth and my hair has shrunken and I feel like it's been this length forever. I keep telling myself, just wait for the touch -up and you'll be bra strap. Now that seems like "so what, I've waited 1 1/2 years to have this? ". I'm gonna do a red tint at my next touch-up to keep from going crazy from hair boredom, but that's not for another 4 weeks. My hair should be shrunken above my shoulders by then. UUUGGGHHHhH!!!!

I look at all the ladies here who have gorgeous hair and I get so fustrated and just wanna cut all my hair off and dye it blonde or something. Anybody feel the same?

I've felt the same........no cutting!

You're just in a hair slump. Perhaps you need a new style. If you have the funds, go to your stylist (or find one) and tell her to create a new style for you (without cutting it).

Just no cutting.....and no permanent dye-ing........don't!

yeah...me too! u should be happy where your hair is right now. I bet there are several people that would consider your hair is long (me being one of them).

Just try to be more patient - you may not feel like it but your hair IS rewarding you by growing!

Sometimes we get so caught up in styling and constantly comparing our progress to others, but I think we lose sight of concentrating on building/maintaining healthy hair and working with what we have. So just try to keep positive and remember that what you're going through with your hair at the moment isn't permanent. Many ladies here give suggestions on styling options with new growth - maybe you can get a few ideas there. Good luck!

I think most of you who are bored could put in some color with no problems. I know people are afraid of them, but its SO not that deep....there are so many gentle colors on the market...you dont have to be bored with it if you dont want to be.

Make sure you are clarifying and giving yourself protein treatments...I found those were the barriers in my hair growth odyssey.

I agree with the others about giving your hair a break...I will be getting braids in a couple of weeks (yeah!)
