It helps to loosen the curly pattern a bit. I'm pretty sure it's not permanent though. When my NG gets a little longer I want to try it.

oh yeah i have heard about this.. its like coconut milk... i already have too many different curl patterns goin on in my life... hope you get what you need OP... && post results
It did not loosen the curl pattern on my child at all when we tried it, but it did make detangling super easy, and helped the hair stay moisturized a few extra days too. It's the best "product" for detangling that I ever tried.
