Okay ladies, I've been patient with my hair, I've been growing out my hair for the past couple of months. I've been alternating between wearing my hair in a bun, ponytails, and half wigs. I take great care of my hair and put minimal stress on my hair. I've always had problems growing the edges of my hair. However, it's coming along at snail's pace. The back and front have gained substantial length. What can I do to speed up the sides? I hate the fact that my edges are growing slowwwlllllllllyyyy.

I've been misting my edges daily and using a product called Surge Hair Revitalizer 14 Plus with good results. Afterwards I mist with oil to keep them moisturized. Another member of the board sent me a pm about Surge and said she also obtained good results with Surge. Hope that helps.

I have the Surge Hair Revitalizer and I used it a couple of times, but I stopped because it seemed like it was drying my hair out. The instructions say to use it everyday and it's loaded with proteins. Do you find that it's drying to your hair, joyous?

I haven't seen the Surge Hair Revitalizer at Sally's. I purchased mine from a local beauty supply store.

Oh, O.K. thanks. I am going to try it. I have the same problem. Is it only for the edges because my sides, overall, are thinner than the rest of my head.

I haven't had any problems but then again my hair is natural and I rinse/mist daily so maybe thats why I haven't had a problem. I orginally used it only 3-4 days a week after rinsing and still got excellent growth. The member who sent me a pm is relaxed and when she used it on her hair everyday it became to dry. She said she remedied the situation by only spraying it on her scalp once a day and that seems to work, because she got such good growth she didn't want to stop using it. Always remember to moisturize after spraying.

That's a good idea about spraying it only on the scalp. I didn't do that; I sprayed it on my scalp and my hair. It's great that it's working for you.
