I am having a terrible time with my natural 4a/b hair. I just do not know what to do with it. I tried to flat iron it but the ends need trimming and my hair is uneven. I tried to do a wash and go with ic with sparkelites. Did not work. I just do not know what to do with my hair it is too short to put in a afro puff. I have an interview on Monday and want to look presentable but do not know what to do with my hair. Ughhhhhhhhhhh.

how long is your hair?

For a wash n go, try cowashing from back to front in the sink instead of front to back in the shower. I discovered that my hair has less frizz and more coils when I rinsed back to front and when I wash in the sink instead of the shower. After washing, shake your hair up and down and then left to right. I don't use gel for my shake n go's, just plain water.

If your hair is long enough, try two strand twists.

Hope that helps!

When my natural hair was really short, like an inch and a half short, I would conditioner wash and "finger coil". By "finger coil", I mean that, after washing I would apply my moisturizer and then go around my head and wrap small pieces of my hair around my finger to add curl definition.

Sometimes adding a nice headband or "scarf band" helped to "finish off" the style.

Streched it is about 5-7 inches

I might try this as well. Thanks.

Don't underestimate the value of accessories, as well!

Sometimes when I'm feeling bummed out about my hair or there's "something missing" about my look, adding some rockin earrings/necklace/bracelet, etc. seems to "top off" my look!
