I've been using ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo for a couple of months with great results. My hair would be clean, but soft and tangle free...all of a sudden (for the past 2 weeks) my hair feels stripped and gets tangled when I use it. I'm soo confused...do some products stop working after a while? I haven't been doing anything different; I think I'll use it a few more times before I give it up. It just sucks because it's hard to find a clarifying/chelating shampoo that doesn't strip my hair.

Well since ors aloe is a clarifier/chelator there's a chance that it doesn't fit your needs anymore. If you don't have as much buildup as you did in the past or there's nothing to chelate, then of course that shampoo is going to be too much for your hair now. Review your regimen and see if you actually still need it.

OoOoO that makes a lot of sense :scratchch ...thanks for your insight!

How often do you clarify? Maybe you're using it too often.

Well for the last 3 months I've been using it weekly (I know that sounds like a lot), but my hair would feel soooo soft afterwards, like I just finished using a moisturizing shampoo.

Ors aloe is clarifying and chelating. I think it's also included in the ors relaxer kit, but I'm not positive about that.

It chelates and neutralizes. It has sulfates and I believe using it weekly is why your hair is feeling stripped.

I think it's best to use it 1x a month, maybe 2x but I know I coudlnt use it every week.

Thanks I'm definitely going to stick with my sulfate free moisturizing shampoo for a while

The same thing happened to me when I used it. It was great for a while, but after a few months it set my scalp on fire. It became way to stripping! I was using it once a week as well because my college has VERY hard water.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one going through this....so did you just stick to moisturizing poos? Or do you use it once a month? How did you shampoo reggie change?

I had the same experience which prompted me to stop using it although I am a fan of the ORS product line. I would definitely leave it alone for a while.
