What do you do, esp. fine haired ladies to handle that flatness the sometimes come with a fresh relaxer?

When I had layers, I would get a roller wrap. Once it was all one length and I wanted a flat wrap I would get my hair blowdried instead of sitting under the dryer. It made my fine hair look thicker/fuller.

hmm . . . when I used to blowdry my hair was fuller, but I don't want to go back to the heat. I'm going to rollerset tonight. I think I used too much oil and it made my hair too sleek.

I agree with all about the rollersetting. I airdry mine in a rollerset and it removes all relaxer flatness.;)

Yeah, I didn't mind it since I trusted my hair dresser. She was gentle. And it looked so much better. Whenever I washed my own hair I always airdried it. I started that out of laziness when I started washing my own hair in 8th grade. My mother used to yell at me for it though. But yeah, if you're staying away from heat try a roller wrap.

Yeah, rollersets will help, but make sure that you go easy on the products after a touch up. To much product will kill your curls and make your hair flat in a heartbeat.

Thank you for starting this thread!!!!!

I hate how FLAT my hair is looking right now. It's still 'swangin' but I hate the flatness. It's not time to wash it yet so I'm basically wearing it back and tucked behind my ears.

Do you think I could 'dry' rollerset it to get so umphff???

To avoid the flat head look, I always rollerset after a realxer using a foam like Keracare. This always gives me mucho volume & bounce. HTH

A rollerset makes a great difference if you want more body to your hair.

yep. what she said!:) ..not only does the curls last for a couple of days... it adds much needed volume to fine hair!
