Four easy newbie questions not previously asked.

Hello ladies, I have four questions for you. They are simple and silly but I have just got to have them answered.

1- How do I get the and the persons name when I do a response?

2-How do I cancel the reccuring membership fee? I may want to continue after a year but I want to do it myself.

3-When I click on the "thanks" button, can you see that I have thanked you?

4- And lastly, Is there a way to have an email sent to me when someone replies to my thread? If not, how do you keep up with the responses?

1.) to simply "mention" someone like I just did above to you then write the @ symbol followed by their username (I'm not sure if it's case sensitive but just in case it is make sure you write the username exactly as it appears). If a matching user is found, the site will automatically link to their profile and send them a notification.


EDIT: Sometimes it doesn't work just writing it out. (I've gotten it to work sometimes). If it doesn't then in the editor you use to write or reply to a post click the furthest most right icon on the second row (the blue speaker I think it is). Enter the user's name between the mention tags.


2.) Not sure, maybe someone else can help you with that. It was my impression that the subscription did not automatically renew and just expired unless you manually renewed it but that may not be the case.

3.) When you click Thanks you name appears on a list of other people who thanked the post directly under the post. Also, a user can visit their own profile, click on Statistics under their avatar (on the right), and then click "Thanked posts by *username*". This will show them all their personal posts in which another user thanked them.

4.) At the top of the thread there is a link that says "Thread Tools" on the right (above the original poster's stats). You can click "Subscribe to this Thread". On the next page, you can select "Instant Notification by Email".

bhndbrwneyes: Thanks girl. I finally got those questions answered. You're a Gem! But the subscription will automatically renew if you do not stop it.. It says so in the disclaimer before you sign up.
