Found an alternative to blow drying with a comb attachment

I've always been a comb attachment blow drying chick. My hair always felt dry and hard, well not all the time, but most of the time. I always felt it wasn't the best solution for my hair, but my 4b coils don't press well if I don't get something in there to smooth the way.

Anyway.... I had my roll around tourmaline dryer tucked away in my closet for the last two years. Never used it. Today I washed, sectioned my hair, detangled and plaited. Didn't really think it would work, but my hair is soft, detangled and definitely has no need for a comb attachment. Tourmaline really makes a difference in my hair. I can run a pressing comb through it from root to tip with no problem!

Ya know, I always ask God to help me with my hair, 'cause I seriously can't master it on my own. I was trying to figure out how I was gonna dry my hair with minimal damage and then my tourmaline roll around came to mind. Thank you God. The Holy Spirit is awesome and brings everything to my rememberance. God perfects everything that concerns me - even hair!

You bettah testify! lol... thanks for sharing. I'm glad you found something that works for you...and it was right there all along!

You feel me, right! I'm trying to testify. I can really see how The Holy Spirit is helping me with my hair. I know some people will think this is crazy, but hey, he helps me.

Noticed your beautiful curlformers pic. I want to try this. Do you use them on dry hair or wet hair? Details please. Thanks.

Oh, I LOVE your henna color. I've fallen in love with henna lately myself. Starting using indigo because I've never really had black hair. Hmmm, maybe I'll play around with the reddish color for awhile.

Yep... and it doesn't have to be "deep and mysterious"... The Holy Spirit simply comes along side and HELPS A SISTAH OUT! Praise Him!

I do curlformers on wet hair with some random leave-in, serum and LOTS of coconut oil. Then under the dryer for two days..ugh... :nono: I decree somebody WILL sow a Pibbs 514 into my life! It shall be as I say! :look:

Those pics show my highlights from last year, since I had only done henna up close to the roots (I only used one 80 gram pack... severe underestimation... but I HAD to cover my silver newgrowth... premature graying...). Now that I have done henna a 2nd time, I applied it all over and my highlighted hair is now red. Henna is great! Thanks for the info LHCFers! I would have never tried henna without all of your wonderful posts!

Keep seeking Him, Yodie! May he give you the wisdom to grow your hair supernaturally thick, long and strong (that's a line from my mama's "hair prayer"... yes, the prophet has a separate prayer for her hair ... and I'm copying...:yep: ...WHAT?!)

yep, tourmaline ABSOLUTELY makes a difference when drying the hair. i still blow dry with the comb attachment, but ever since my old school gold & hot dryer died on me, & i bought a tourmaline ceramic (yes, it's ceramic too, i don't know how a blow dryer can be ceramic) ionic blow dryer from Sally's, my hair dries much faster, with much less frizz and much more softness. i will never buy a non-tourmaline ionic hair drying appliance again!

Pookie, I'm Tourmaline all day everyday.

Melodic Vessel, someone WILL buy you that Pibbs! Love that prayer. I'm borrowing it.
Not sure my hair will come out straight enough if I use Curlformers on my wet hair, but I'm certainly gonna try. Curlformers have been on my mind for at least two weeks now. I'm praying this works for me.

I love your faith!!
