That Darn Buzzing and that Freakin Kung Fu song is about to drive me insane:wallbash: and its like extra loud!!!

When I'm going through pics and i hear those spawn of the devil ads i really wanna:computer: and just go heads up with who ever thought it was cute to but them on there:swordfigh :hammer: :arguing: :spank: :whip:

Sorry i just needed to vent...im better now:lol: :lachen:

I thought I was the only one that kept getting those stupid ads all the time. It drives me up the wall. It makes me want to abandon fotki altogether. :mad:
 
Omg, i HATE those dern ads!!!! Uugh, that buzzing is the WORST!!!

Between the Myspace and Fokti ads, i just end up keeping my volume turned down. :perplexed
 
I only recently noticed those when I had my sound turned on. Volume is back on low and I can't hear that damn mosquito anymore!

That damn buzzing gets me everytime. I get scared and paranoid thinking I got a bee in my room.:lachen:

And what about those fart out the hottie ads? :lachen: And that chinese song...:lachen:

Fotki makes sure those ads get on your nerves GOOD so you can just give in and pay the fee. NOT I. I shall not be moved:D :lachen:
 
that mess is very irritating. fotki can kiss my behind. i hate ads with sound. that's the easiest way to keep me off of a site.
 
I keep my volume down almost all the time. I noticed the buzzing the other day while trying to watch the Pin Curl video. I was like WHAT IS THAT!! Yeah, I think they do that frustrating stuff in hopes to make us upgrade and pay for the services. That is just annoying!

I was trying to watch this one girls video on here in her fotki about pin curls and all i heard was buzzing in the background. then it stopped minutes later so I could hear what she was saying.
 
Instead of using Internet Explorer as your web browser dl and use Mozilla Firefox. It comes with this add-on called Ad Blacker Plus.

The ads on all the websites I go to now no longer even appear. It's as if the internet is completely ad-less. It's awesome!! You can dl Firefox here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ and after it's installed you can dl the Ad Blocker Plus add-on.

It really changed my web browsing experience. HTH!

thanks for the tip because i know i like to listen to my music while im on the computer, but these ads make it very unpleasant
 
Fotki ads make me stop looking at the pictures. Especially that damn buzzing mosquito!!! I keep killing him but he comes back to life!!!:mad:

What are the purpose of the stars...if i offended somebody my bad, i was just frustrated...i didn't even know ppl really rated threads...wow i have so much to learn

heh, i came into this post thinking wth are these women rantin about?

i also use firefox with adblock - i've never heard an ad :perplexed so had no idea what the hubbub was about.

dont' see pop ups, downs, either :grin:
 
Those ads are the worse there's a post in the Off-Topic Forum about how to make them stop if you're using Firefox. I'm soooo happy now.
 
I totally agree. :lachen: That's why I don't use it. I use squarespace. It doubles as my life and hair journal and I can upload a gazillion different photo albums. In addition to that, I can give certian users access to only portions of my journal and photo albums. For instance the username and password that I designated for my hair journal/photo gallery will not let those visitors view any other parts of my journal unless I give them access. :) (see my siggy)

It does cost (paying is how you avoid that ads). I pay about $12 a month. Maybe you ladies could look into this...if you're interested???:D
 
.......so that's what that buzzing was?? That like to scared me to death. I was looking all around the room ducking.
