do you all seal and moisturize nightly??? How do you do this without messing up your do?

I twist my hair after every moisture and seal session I fear its causing the breakage that I do experience because I am minipulating it ALMOST everynight... i mean its not a TON of breakage but any is too much for me!!!!

Nope. I moisturize my hair once a week, maybe twice or three times a week. I never seal my hair.

OT: But funny you asked because I just uploaded a video today about preserving hairstyles...

interesting ill have to check it out...

whats the reason why you dont seal? I always thought thats how you keep moisture in.

enlighten me please

I dont moisturize everyday except for when I wear my hair out. I do the top in the morning and the entire head in the evening.

I also dont seal because I felt it was unnecessary. I did in the beginning of my HHJ and just chance I decided to stop. My hair responded the same.

I thought to myself why M&S everyday when there still might be moisture left over. It was causing me to get breakage.

Interesting.

thanks for the info. maybe the m&s is unnecessary because I am giving too much moisture every night.

I just sprtiz a little aloe and distilled water on the ends and seal with jojoba.
I guess its back to the drawing to see what my hair ACTUALLY needs.:pyro:

i don't seal either. For me, oil makes my hair feel yucky and it attracts lint and dust which causes major knots and tangles in my hair. I moisturize every night with my AO HSR + water spritz and keep my ends tucked away. I mostly wear my hair in 30 braids that are braided and ends tucked except special occasions.

I just bought AO HSR and I love it.

Maybe I should try your night reggi...

Do you think my everyday mositure with water/aloe mix with seal could be causing my breakage????? It just seems like the right thing to do.. IDK if its helping really....

I don't know if your aloe/water mix is causing breakage but it doesn't seem to be helping. Your hair should feel good after moisturizing, you can tell the difference. I used to have a lot of breakage before I started using my spritz, now I have significantly less (5-10 tiny broken hairs; it used to be 60 and yes I counted. LOL)
