For the Texturized Ladies

When I had a texturizer, I'd have them touch up the new growth and as soon as they were done with the application, wash it right out. Even now, I only relax for 18 minutes from start to finish. I guess some people would consider what I have now a texturizer as opposed to totally relaxed.

What do you think is the biggest influence of how straight the hair gets (or doesn't get) while texturizing, the length of time its left on or the amount of smoothing?

smoothing, cause this is the step that "knocks" the curl out.
