In my picture above I am about 2 maybe 3 inches away from Armpit and its 4 months. I might be able to get there in the next two months but I don't know honestly. I spread it out to Christmas. I would say it takes depending on how your hair grows 6-8 months to get from one stretch to the other It took me about a year to get to shoulder length. I figure six months to 8 months to get to armpit. I think it happens when you forget about it. You just wake up and its there.:yep:

I like your avi...pretty hair, ya and I guess this is true because its like anything when you are watching it, it will seem to not have progressed and when we take our minds off of it, its there before we know it.

I started in May 2005 with thin hair grazing my shoulders...in November 2006 I reached full APL. So it took me about 18 months...definitely took a while for me!

I was at shoulder length last August. I reached the top of APL in April of this year so it took 8 months.

It took me 2.5 years because I had an 1/2 inch of hair, when I started my journey. I am not full armpit. The front of my hair is past shoulder length and the back is APL.

18 months you might have thought was a while, but ehcking out your fotki was well worth the ride. Beautiful hair!

I officially started at the end of December 06/Beginning of January 07 when I relaxed my natural hair. It was just around shoulder length. I made APL in March. Then again I'm 5'2 with a short torso.

My hair was EXTREMELY damaged when I started my hair care Journey in May 2004. It was neck length. It took me three years to reach APL. Now that is because I had so many trims to cut the dry, damaged, and overprocessed ends/hair off.

I started off at SL in September and by May I was APL. So eight months I would say...

The very first time, I went from SL to APL in 6 months. Then I had relaxer damage and had to cut my hair to bottom of the neck/collar bone and grew it to SL. When I went natural, it took two years to get to APL (from scratch). Even though I didn't BC, I had to grow off 12 inch strands of SL relaxed hair to get to 100% natural APL.

Let me see.. I started charting my hair care journey April 2006, at that time I was chin length and I touched APL August 07.. So it took almost a year and a half.. Hopefully my sides reach APL by December

Question: Does your height and torso length really determine length? I guess that makes sense, but I never really thought about it. I'm 5'7 and a bit past APL, about 1/2-2" away from BSL in the back. When I look at my hair and stuff in the mirror I think to myself, when I reach BSL, that's actually be midback for me, or am I trippin?
